Pune: Fake telephone exchange busted, man held in Anti-Terrorism Squad raid in Kondhwa

Pune: The State Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has raided a fake telephone exchange in Kondhwa and arrested a person. It has also seized 3,788 SIM cards, seven SIM boxes, Wi-Fi, an antenna for SIM box, a laptop and other valuables from his possession.
The arrested accused has been identified as Naushad Ahmad Siddi (22).
This is a big action in the backdrop of the Ganpati Festival. The fake exchange was being run to bypass the official Indian telephone system for international calls. It was located in the MA Complex area at Mitha Nagar in Kondhwa. The ATS received a tip-off from confidential sources about the exchange. Thus, they raided it and seized the valuables.
The ATS was investigating the matter and was interrogating the accused.
