Youth loses father’s retirement benefits of Rs 17 lakh in his desire to become playboy
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A youth got lured by an advertisement of Playboy company offering licence and membership and an opportunity to earn Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 in two and a half hours after registration and lost Rs 17 lakh 38 thousand in the process. A 27-year-old boy has filed a complaint at the Dattawadi police station. The police have registered an FIR against four persons. (Pune Crime)
According to the police, there was an advertisement of Playboy company offering its licence and asked those interested in becoming members to register on Indian Escort Service, on the complainant’s FB page. There was an advertisement that one can earn Rs 2,500 to 3,000 in one or two hours. When the complainant called on the number, he was told to do online registration.
After he registered, he was asked to pay licence fee, room rent, police verification, pickup drop, late fee policy amount and various other charges and he paid Rs 17 lakh 28 thousand 822 through PhonePay between July 25 and October 24.
The Playboy company did not offer him any benefit and did not return his money and cheated him.
The youth lost his father’s retirement benefits in the Indian Escort Service’s web of deceit.
Police Inspector Khomne is investigating the case.
