Youth held for attacking 17-year-old girl with knife in Chandan Nagar
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | An enraged youth tried to strangle a 17-year-old girl. He also attacked her with a knife in Chandan Nagar. The Airport police arrested Dnyaneshwar Rajendra Nimbalkar (22), a resident of Chandan Nagar.
The incident took place on Pune-Ahmednagar road on the road towards Khulewadi in Chandan Nagar at around 4.30 pm on Friday. The 17-year-old girl lodged a complaint at the Viman Nagar police station.
According to the police, the complainant stays in Chandan Nagar. The accused knows her. He was upset that she was not talking to him or meeting him. The accused blocked her way on Khulewadi road when the complainant was walking back home. The accused then strangled her neck, took out a knife and attacked her several times in her chest, stomach and feet.
The police immediately arrested the youth. He has been booked and arrested for attempt to murder.
