Pune Crime | Young woman cheated of Rs 24 lakh by a man identifying himself as Central Ministry employee

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime |  A person using a fake identity saying that he was employed in the Central Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs promised to marry a young woman and duped her of Rs 24 lakh. The Chatuhshrungi police have booked Nishant Rameshchandra Nandwana, a resident of Kishanganj of Rajasthan. (Pune Crime)

 

A 31-year-old woman, a resident of Balewadi, lodged a complaint in this regard. According to the police, the complainant had registered her name on a matrimonial website. Nandwana had also registered himself on the website using a fake name, Adhitansh Shivprasad Agnihotri. They got to know each other on the web portal. The accused told her that he was employed in the Central Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. He promised to marry her. He took Rs 24 lakh on various pretexts from August 30 to September 22, 2021. Later, the complainant tried to contact him but could not. She realised that she was cheated. After an inquiry, it was found that he used a fake name.
