Six persons arrested in matka king Sanjay Patole murder case

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | The police have arrested six persons in connection with the murder case of Katraj area matka king Sanjay Subhash Patole who was killed on Sunday evening in Shirval.

 

The incident had taken place on the terrace of Lake Palace building in Shirval in Khandala taluka. The police were able to solve the crime after they found a hotel bill in Patole’s pocket. The police came to know that the murder had taken place due to a financial dispute.

 

Tarbej Mehmood Sutar (31), a resident of Katraj, Kiran Babanrao Salunkhe, a resident of Ambegaon, Vicky Rajendra Jadhav, a resident of Wanawadi, Shankar alias Tatya Ashruba Parve, a resident of Bibvewadi, Nitish alias Ritya Satish Patange, a resident of Bibvewadi and Rakesh Suresh Gaikwad, a resident of Pune have been identified as the accused. They were arrested from different parts of Pune. All the accused have been brought to the Shirval police station and they are being questioned.

 

There was a dispute over financial transactions and land between Sanjay Patole and the main accused. Both had threatened to kill each other. Hence, Tarbej killed Patole with the help of his friends. They killed Patole by firing a bullet in his head. However, the bullet could not be found during the post-mortem. The police suspect that the bullet went through his nose and may have fallen into a nearby canal.

 

Patole’s body was found in a pool of blood and the police had rushed to the spot. During the panchnama, the police found a hotel bill in the pocket of the deceased.

 

The police examined the CCTV footage in the hotel. Patole was found having lunch with some people. One of them was a notorious criminal. The police arrested the accused from various parts of Pune.
