Six arrested, three paraded in public with tonsured heads in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri : NpNews24 Online Pune Crime | A shocking incident of beating up a youth with a belt and forcing him to eat biscuits thrown on the ground for not addressing one of the accused as ‘Bhai’ was reported in Pimpri Chinchwad. The Waked police arrested six people in this connection. Three of these are minors. The main accused Rohan Waghmare is absconding. Heads of three accused were tonsured and they were paraded in public by the police.

 

The paraded accused have been identified as Prakash Ingole, Prashant Athavale and Ajit alias Aditya Kate. The police are searching for the main accused, Rohan Waghmare. The victim had lodged a complaint at the Wakad police station.

 

According to the police, accused Rohan Waghmare asked a young man as to why he did not call Waghmare as ‘Bhai’. Then he forced the victim to eat biscuits thrown on the ground. He, along with others, also beat up the youth with a belt, which caused bruises on his back. The Wakad police booked seven people and arrested three in this regard. Three minors were also arrested.

 

The heads of three accused were tonsured and they were paraded in public on Sunday. CP Krishna Prakash has warned them that if they commit such crime again, they would be dealt with stringently.
