Sex racket busted in Pune, 6 girls including model rescued from spa
Pune : NpNews24 Online – A model and five girls have been rescued by the social security cell of the Pune police crime branch from a spa in Aundh where a prostitution racket was being operated. The manager of the spa tried to run away along with the girls after seeing the police arriving on the CCTV, by going to the upper floor. The police have filed an FIR against six persons.
Assistant Manager Sufiyan Jamaluddin Ahmed (23), a resident of Aundh, has been arrested. A case has been registered against spa owner Venkatesh Tipu Rathod (38), spa manager, Devisingh alias Liladhar Shankarsingh Chavan (30), a resident of Lohegaon, housekeeper Govindkumar, owner of the flat where spa is located Abhinav Ramnath Vajpayee and Mona Ramnath Vajpayee, a resident of Aundh. PSI Rakesh Nhalde of Faraskhana police station has lodged a complaint at the Chatuhshrungi police station.
The social security cell came to know that a prostitution racket was being operated at the White Willow Spa. The girls working in the spa were being forced to have sex with customers who paid money for extra service. The police sent a decoy customer. He paid money for extra service by Google Pay and signalled to the team of policemen who were waiting outside the spa.
Sufiyan Ahmed, who was sitting on the counter, saw the policemen on the CCTV. He closed the door of the spa and ran inside. The decoy customer opened the door. Sufiyan Ahmed and two girls went to the upper floor and entered the office of Research Infotech Centre and tried to escape. The police apprehended them with the help of the staff of the centre.
When the girls working in the spa were questioned, they told the police that the girls were forcefully confined in a flat on the sixth floor of a nearby Pooja building. The police went there and rescued the girls. A model and five other girls were rescued. Goods worth Rs 32,150 were seized from the spa.
The action was taken by Senior PI Rajesh Puranik, woman constable Shinde, Mohite, Irfan Pathan, police naik Hanmant Kamble, Kolge and a team of probationary PSIs under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik and DCP Srinivas Ghadge.
