Pune Crime | President of Swarajya Shiledar Mathadi Sanghatan Omkar Hinge held by crime branch of Pune police for extortion
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | The President of Swarajya Shiledar Mathadi Sanghatan, Omkar Hinge, has been arrested by a unit of Anti Extortion Cell 2 red handed after laying a trap for demanding an extortion of Rs 30,000 or threatening to kill a businessman. The accused Hinge had issued a threat to the complainant that he will have to pay him Rs 40,000 per month if he wanted to work as a labour contractor in his area. (Pune Crime)
A businessman staying in Dhayari had lodged a complaint with the AEC-2. A unit of AEC-2 laid a trap at Café Kai at Inamdar Chowk in Bibvewadi and caught Omkar Hinge red handed while he was accepting Rs 30,000.
Omkar Hinge called up the complainant and met him and told him that he will have to pay Rs 40,000 per month to him if he wants to carry out labour contract work in his area. Hinge called up the complainant and stopped his vehicle and threatened to kill him. After discussions, he agreed to accept Rs 30,000 and was arrested while accepting the money. An FIR has been registered against the accused at Bibvewadi police station under sections 386, 387 of the IPC. The Bibvewadi police are investigating the case.
The action was taken by a team of officials including PI Balaji Pandhre, API Changdev Sajgane, PSI Shrikant Chavan, PSI Mohandas Jadhav and policemen Vijay Gurav, Shailesh Surve, Pradeep Shtole, Vinod Salunkhe, Rahul Uttarkar, Anil Mengde, Amol Pilane, Sangram Shingare, Sachin Ahivale, Saidoba Bhojrao, Chetan Shirolkar, Chetan Apte, Pradeep Gade, Kishore Barge, Pavan Bhosale, Ravi Sankpal, Rupali Karnavar and Asha Kolekar under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Srinivas Ghadge and ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar.
