Pune Crime | Police rescue a newborn dumped in public toilet in Vadgaon Budruk

Pune: NpNews24 Online   Pune Crime |  A newborn was dumped at a public toilet at Tukai Nagar in Vadgaon Budruk in Sinhagad road area on Wednesday morning.

 

However, two police personnel from Sinhagad road police station, Ajay Mali and Katte, rescued the infant.

 

According to the police, they got a call from the police control room that a woman had tried to push the newborn down the toilet pot. Cops Mali and Katte immediately rushed to the spot. They saw the infant crying and stuck in the pot. They found it tough to rescue the child as it was bleeding. They used all the tricks to pull the baby boy out of the pot. Finally, they succeeded in it. It was admitted to the Sassoon Hospital for treatment. Senior PI Shailesh Sankhe and PSI Pramod Waghmare reached the spot and congratulated Mali and Katte for their deed.

 

The incident triggered anger in Tukai Nagar area. Citizens have demanded immediate arrest of the woman and her accomplice. Policeman Ajay Mali lodged a complaint in this regard.
