Police register FIR against man for killing youth

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A youth was beaten up because he was asking for money to buy alcohol. The injured youth died during medical treatment and the police have registered a murder case. A case has been registered against Sagar Mohite at the Lonikand police station under sections 302 and 504 of the IPC. (Pune Crime)

The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar Shri Suraj Prasad Chaudhary (28). A resident of Gade Vasti, Wagholi, hailing from Uttar Pradesh. PSI Mahadev Hariba Linge of Lonikand police station filed a complaint on Saturday. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against Sagar Mohite, a resident of Wagholi Bazaar, near the lake). The incident took place on March 28, 2022 at 4.30 pm at Wagholi near the wall of a ground.

According to the information given by investigating officer PSI Suraj Gore, the accused Sagar and the deceased Chaudhary knew each other for 8-10 years. Since Chaudhary was addicted to alcohol, he was constantly asking Sagar for money. Sagar beat up Chaundhay with a wooden log. A seriously injured Chaudhary had been admitted to the hospital.

Chaudhary died during medical treatment on March 30. The police registered the case initially as an accidental death. However, after a probe was carried out and based on the information given by the witnesses, a murder case was registered against Sagar Mohite. The accused had not been arrested so far.
