Pune Crime News | Youth opposes construction of new staircase, dies by suicide

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | A youth was distressed because his plan of replacing the iron staircase with a staircase made of cement was opposed. The 24-year-old youth died by suicide by hanging himself. (Pune Crime News)

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Dabholkar (24), a resident of Anand Vihar, Hingne. His father Mohan Dabholkar (50) has lodged a complaint (233/23) at the Sinhagad Road police station. The police have registered an FIR against Ashok Gopal Bandagale (50) and Kalpana Ashok Bandagale, residents of Hingne for abetting his suicide. The incident took place on April 10.

According to the police, the complainant and the accused stay at the same place. There was a common iron staircase. Bandagale started constructing a cement staircase and the complainant’s son Manoj and his wife opposed this move. Bandagale told him that he will construct the cement staircase come what may.

Manoj was deeply disturbed and died by suicide on April 10 when he was alone in the house. He has written a note before ending his life. The note stated that he was dying by suicide because Bandagale was harassing him. A case of incidental death had been registered. When the facts came to light after an investigation, an FIR has been registered and PSI Sable is probing the case.
