Pune Crime News | Two arrested for stealing earthing wires of building on Sinhagad Road
PUNE : Pune Crime News | The Sinhagad Road police have arrested two persons for stealing the earthing wires of a building thus endangering the lives of locals.
The accused have been identified as Ravindra Prakash Deshmukh (34), hailing from Beed district and at present staying at Narhe and Hemraj Shantaram Patil (27), a resident of Jalgaon district and at present staying at Narhe. An FIR had been registered on July 12, 2023 at the Sinhagad Road police station regarding the theft of the building’s earthing wire.
The police were searching for robbers who had stolen the earthing wire. Policemen Deva Chavan and Swapnil Magar got the information that the accused were waiting below Navle Bridge near JSPM College and were riding a white Vespa scooter. The information was verified and the police laid a trap and arrested him.
When they were questioned, they admitted committing the crime. Earthing wire worth ₹30,000 and a motorcycle used in the crime totally worth ₹80,000 were seized.
CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil, DCP Suhail Sharma, ACP Rajendra Galande, SR PI Abhay Mahajan, PI Jayant Rajurkar guided API Sachin Nikam, PSI Ganesh Mokashi and policemen Aba Uttekar, Sanjay Shinde, Deva Chavan, Swapnil Magar, Shivaji Kshirsagar, Rahul Olekar, Rajabhau Vegre, Daksh Patil, Vikas Pandule, Amol Patil, Sagar Shedge, Vikas Bandal and Avinash Konde in taking the action.
