Pune Crime News | Two arrested for robbing actors on BT Kawade Road by threatening them with sickle; Goods worth ₹74, 000 seized
PUNE : Pune Crime News | An incident took place wherein actors who were going for shooting of a Marathi film were robbed by threatening them with a sickle on BT Kawade Road. The incident took place on May 21 at 4 am. The Wanawadi police have arrested two accused in the case and seized goods worth ₹74,000 from them.
The arrested accused have been identified as Swapnil Dada Kotwal (23), a resident of Hadapsar and Mahesh Baban Gajesingh (29), a resident of Mundhwa. The complainants are actors. The complainant was going with Harsh Nathe and Jishan Patni for shooting. At 4 am, they stopped at a tea stall on BT Kawade Road. A person came there accompanied by some youths.
The accused pushed aside the complainant and took him to a corner. One of the accused took out a sharp weapon and kept it on the neck of the complainant and forcibly took mobile and money from his trouser. When the complainant’s friends came there, their mobiles and cash were taken away and they were threatened that they would be killed. An FIR was registered at the Wanawadi police station.
The police examined the CCTV footage and spoke to the witnesses. After carrying out a technical analysis of the complainant’s mobile IMEI CDR, the accused were arrested. The police seized a mobile, sickle, two-wheeler totally worth ₹74,000.
