Pune Crime News | Tempo driver robbed of ₹5.5 lakh after being assaulted with sickle

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | Three robbers who came on a two-wheeler asked a tempo driver to stop and robbed him after assaulting him with a sickle. Riaz Chandbhai Mulani (41), a resident of Wadegaon, has lodged a complaint (440/23) at the Lonikand police station. The incident took place on the bridge on Indrayani river near Tulapur on Saturday at 6.15 am. (Pune Crime News)
According to the police, a weekly market is held at Chakan on Saturday. The complainant and his aide Rajendra Jadhav were travelling in a tempo. On the Indrayani bridge, three people who were on a two-wheeler asked the tempo driver to stop. The complainant was assaulted with a sickle and forcibly took away ₹5.5 lakh cash and mobile and ran away.
The accused knew that the complainant was carrying a large sum of money and they may have chased the temp and robbed them. API Godse is probing the case.
