Pune Crime News | Sahakar Nagar police arrest three people for cheating senior citizens

PUNE: Pune Crime News | The Sahakar Nagar police have arrested three people for cheating senior citizens. They used to pretend that they were keeping a car as mortgage or selling it but they used to take away the same car by using another key and cheat the senior citizens. Three such incidents have come to light.

 

The arrested accused have been identified as Harshad Kundlik Pawar (24), a resident of Kolhapur district, Faiyyaz Ali Mokashi (37), a resident of Sangli district but residing in Karnataka and Yuvraj Balasaheb Patil (38), a resident of Navi Mumbai.

 

A senior citizen residing at Datta Nagar, Katraj had lodged a complaint at the Sahakar Nagar police station. The Sahakar Nagar police registered an FIR and arrested the accused after carrying out a probe. When they were questioned, they admitted that they had committed three such crimes. It has come to light that they have similarly cheated a person in Swargate area in Pune and Ghansoli area in Navi Mumbai.

 

Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil, DCP Smartana Patil, ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar guided Sr PI Sawalaram Salgaonkar and PI Manoj Shedge and they instructed API Sameer Shende, policemen Bapu Khutwad, Sushant Farande, Bajrang Pawar, Mahesh Mandlik, Navnath Shinde, Sagar Sutkar, Sagar Kumbhar, Vishal Wagh and Khandu Shinde in taking the action.
