Pune Crime News | Pune Customs seizes drugs worth ₹5 crore; Four arrested after chase from Satara to Lonavla
PUNE : Pune Crime News | The ANC of Pune Customs arrested four people who were transporting drugs from Satara to Lonavla, by chasing them. Methamphetamine drug weighing 1kg which is worth ₹5 crore has been seized from them according to information given by customs department on Wednesday.
The Pune Customs Department had received information that a huge quantity of Methamphetamine was being smuggled from Satara to Mumbai. The information was verified. The Customs Department started making preparations accordingly.
A team of the Customs Department started chasing the black Ford Endeavor from Satara. When the vehicle reached Khed Shivapur toll naka, the team stopped it. There was some confusion at the toll naka, it is being said. There were two people in the car, when it was stopped. 850 gm Methamphetamine was seized from them. When they were questioned, they said two of their aides were going to meet them in Lonavla.
The team of the Customs Department apprehended two persons from Lonavla. The team seized 200 gm of Methamphetamine from them. In all, the Customs Department has seized 1 kg Methamphetamine worth ₹5 crore.
