Pune Crime News | Pune City engineer cheated by a Delhi man on the pretext of providing job in Germany

The victim contacted some people through online for job. A man from Delhi promised him a job as an engineer in a good company in Germany. The victim believed him.
According to the police, ” A young engineer from Pune City wanted to get a job abroad. He was in touch with some people for the same. He came in contact with a man named Jayant Kumar Malik from Delhi. Malik told him that he has many acquaintances in abroad and he has given jobs to many people in Germany. He also assured that he will get the victim a job with a good package and demanded Rs 11.90 lakh from him for the job abroad. The victim was ready for it and paid it. Malik told him that the job will be in an automobile company in Germany.”
Police further added, “Even after several months since the payment was made the victim did not receive any job offer from abroad. After realising he has been cheated he reached the police station. The complainant did not disclose his name but as soon as the fraud complaint was received we started the investigation. Based on the mobile conversation with Jayant Kumar Malik it became clear that Malik was in Gurugram in Delhi. We went to Delhi and arrested the accused.”
