Pune Crime News | Police arrest youth for assaulting girl with sickle in Sadashiv Peth

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | Citizens chased and apprehended a youth who had assaulted a girl with a sickle near Perugate chowki in Sadashiv Peth and had absconded. The police have arrested Shantanu Laxman Jadhav (22), a resident of Mulshi Dongargaon. The girl was seriously injured after the youth attacked her and she is being treated in a private hospital. The 20-year-old girl stays in the Sutardhara area in Kothrud. The accused, Shantanu Jadhav, had a one-sided affair with a girl and he was chasing and harassing her. He caught up with the girl near a temple in Sadashiv Peth and tried to talk with her after blocking her way. When the girl refused to talk to her, he assaulted her with a sickle. The accused Jadhav ran away and citizens chased him and caught him. They assaulted him near Appa Balwant Chowk.

Shantanu Jadhav assaulted the girl with a sickle. At that time, a youth was passing by. He saw the incident and put up a resistance. Jadhav got scared after the youth put up a resistance and he ran away. Citizens chased him and caught him at Appa Balwant Chowk area.
