Infant Rescued, Hunt for Parents Underway

Pimpri: Pune Crime News | A heart-wrenching incident came to light on Thursday afternoon when a one-day-old infant was found abandoned in a plastic bag near Creative Enterprises at Sudarshan Vasti in Markal, Khed taluka. The baby, wrapped in a plastic bag and left in the bushes on a desolate dirt road, was discovered by Police Patil Vitthal Takalkar of Markal village. The timely intervention of the police led to the baby’s rescue and admission to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

Upon finding the shivering infant, Takalkar acted swiftly and informed the Alandi police about the distressing discovery. Alandi police promptly arrived at the scene and took the baby into their care. The baby was found to be suffering from the cold, so he was rushed to a rural hospital for initial medical assistance. However, due to the severity of the situation and the risk of infection, the infant was subsequently transferred to the District Rural Hospital in Aundh for further treatment and observation.

The shocking incident has left the entire community deeply concerned about the welfare of the abandoned child. A complaint has been lodged at the Alandi Police Station, and a case has been registered against the unknown individuals responsible for this heartless act.

As the investigation unfolds, the police are facing challenges due to the absence of CCTV cameras in the immediate vicinity. The area where the baby was found is near a closed company, and the surrounding CCTV cameras are directed towards the road, leaving a blind spot for the incident. Nevertheless, law enforcement authorities are determined to locate the unknown parents and ensure justice is served for the innocent child.

The discovery of the newborn wrapped in a plastic bag has sparked outrage and sorrow in the local community, with many hoping for the safe recovery and well-being of the infant.
