Pune Crime News | Man held for harbouring sharp weapons by selling huge quantity of charas

PUNE : Pune Crime News | A man was arrested by Unit 1 of Pune police Crime Branch for harbouring sharp weapons by selling charas in huge quantity in the city. Goods worth ₹5.72 lakh were seized from him.

 

The arrested accused has been identified as Sagar Ashok Modak (43), a resident of Sadashiv Peth. Officials and policemen of Unit 1 were patrolling in the limits of Khadak police station. Policeman Aniket Babar came to know that a man was selling charas in huge quantity near Orchid building in Natubag in Sadashiv Peth. The information was verified. The police laid a trap and arrested him. After Sagar Modak was searched and his residence was checked, the police found charas worth ₹5.19 lakh, three swords worth ₹6,550, two knives, an axe, knife and 32 smoking pipes. The police seized goods worth ₹5.72 lakh from him.
