Pune Crime News | Fee of more than ₹50 lakh misappropriated; Fraud comes to light in Paschim Maharashtra Education Trust; FIR registered against eight people

PUNE : Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein the fee collected from students of education institutes being operated by Paschim Maharashtra Education Trust was not deposited in the trust’s account and a sum of more than ₹50 lakh has been misappropriated.

 

The President of Paschim Maharashtra Education Trust, Jubair Rashid Khan (44), a resident of Nana Peth, has lodged a complaint (528/33) at the Kondhwa police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Tabassum Anwar Shaikh (48), Anwar Najimullah Shaikh, both residents of Camp, Tarannum Kadar Syed (43), Kader Chhotemia Syed (52), a resident of Lonavla, Najema Sahel Khan (42), Sohail Ismail Khan (48), a resident of Kondhwa, Asin Arik Shaikh (37) and Arif Shaikh (40). The incident has taken place at Paschim Maharashtra Education Trust located at Meetha Nagar, Kondhwa from 2018.

 

According to the police, the complainant is the president of Paschim Maharashtra Education Trust. The accused made fake signatures on the documents of the trust and instead of depositing the fee of more than ₹50 lakh, misappropriated the amount and cheated the trust and the government.

 

The accused by using a letterhead of the trust made a fake signature of complainant and his mother and appointed Jawwad Shaikh as teacher. Nazema Sahel Khan is sick for a long time and despite being absent, her signature has been made on the school’s muster and the government has been cheated and the police have registered an FIR.
