Pune Crime News | CP takes action against 20-member criminal gang under MCOCA for spreading terror in limits of Dattawadi, Swargate, Bharati Vidyapeeth and Sahakar Nagar police stations

PUNE : Pune Crime News | CP Ritesh Kumar has taken action under MCOCA against Datta Deepak Jadhav and his 20 accomplices for creating terror in the limits of Dattawadi, Swargate, Bharati Vidyapeeth and Sahakar Nagar police stations and vandalising vehicles. The CP has taken action against 35 criminal gangs under MCOCA so far.

The MCOCA action has been taken against Datta Deepak Jadhav (27), Sachin Baban Adsul (29), Rishikesh Alias Rishi Raju Shinde (24), Amit Babu Dhaware (22), Ganesh Alias Dodaya Anant Kathawate (22), all residents of Sahakar Nagar, Pravin Bibhishan Jadhav (34), a resident of Sant Nagar, Pune, Rishikesh Ravi More (24), a resident of Parvati, Baban Abu Adsul (53), a resident of Aranyeshwar, Manoj Alias Bhunmay Alias Bhaiya Kisan Ghadge (26), Ganesh Deepak Jadhav (28), Akshay Maruti Daswadkar (27), Arjun alias Rohya Santosh Jogle (19), Rohit Alias Pappu Bhagwan Ujgre (20), Shekhar alias Sonu Nagnath Jadhav (30), four minors and two absconding accused i.e. totally 20.

On June 27, 2023, the accused had abused and issued threats near Lahuji Shakti Sena office in the limits of Sahakar Nagar police station. Later, the accused created terror in the limits of Sahakar Nagar police station and vandalised two-wheelers. An FIR had ben registered at the Sahakar Nagar police station. Fourteen people have been arrested in this connection and four minors have been apprehended. The police are searching for the two absconding accused.

Meanwhile, gang leader Datta Deepak Jadhav and his accomplices formed a criminal gang and committed many crimes. The gang has used violence for financial gains and to establish supremacy and spread terror. The accused have resorted to violence in the limits of Dattawadi police station, Swargate police station, Bharti Vidyapeeth police station and Sahakar Nagar police station.

Six combined FIRs are registered against the gang and three individual FIRs are registered i.e. totally nine FIRs are registered.

It was observed that gang leader Datta Deepak Jadhav and his accomplices were committing crimes for financial gains and to establish their supremacy. Hence, the Senior PI of Sahakar Nagar police station Surendra Gajendra Malale had sent a proposal through DCP Smartana Patil to Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil. The proposal was checked and approval for MCOCA action against the accused was given.

Further probe in the case is being handled by ACP RN Raje of Lashkar division.

CP Ritesh Kumar has so far taken action against 35 criminal gangs under MCOCA. The police have clarified that such action will be taken against criminal gangs in the future.
