Pune Crime News | Businessman cheated of ₹30 lakh under the pretext of giving him work of installing CCTV cameras

PUNE : Pune Crime News | A shocking incident has taken place in the limits of Viman Nagar police station wherein a cheating of ₹30 lakh has taken place under the guise of giving the work of installing CCTV cameras in Konkan, Nanded and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar range. An FIR has been registered against two women and five others at the Vimantal police station.
A businessman staying in Zircon Society, Viman Nagar has lodged a complaint. The police have registered an FIR against Ajit Shah (45), Mayura Shah (36), Sandip Darekar (32), Sairaj Parvat, Ravi Saini (43) and Sangeeta Sharma under sections 406, 420, 34 of the IPC.
The complainant has got acquainted with the accused. The accused promised to give the contract of installing CCTV cameras in Konkan, Nanded and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar zone of Maharashtra police department to his company and took ₹30 lakh from him on various occasions. However, the complainant was not given the work of installing CCTV cameras.
After he realised that he had been cheated, the businessman lodged a complaint with the police. API Pathak is probing the case.
