Neighbour beats up girls with footwear for wearing shorts
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | An incident has come to light in Pune, wherein young girls who were staying as paying guests, were beaten up by a neighbour for wearing shorts. A case has been registered at Chandan Nagar police station against six members of a family. The incident happened in Rakshak Nagar on Wednesday. (Pune Crime)
According to the police, the complainant resides in Rakshak Nagar area of Chandan Nagar. Three girls stay with her as paying guests. The girls work in an IT company in Kharadi and sometimes, step out wearing shorts.
The neighbours of the complainant were unhappy that the girls moved around wearing shorts. The neighbours had questioned the woman about this but she had replied that it is their choice what they want to wear.
A 55-year-old woman entered the complainant’s house and abused the girls using foul language and beat her up. She also beat up the girls with her footwear.
A case has been registered at the Chandan Nagar police station. API Sonavane is carrying out the investigation.
