Pune Crime | Mobile towers, other equipment stolen from Pashan and Model Colony

Pune : NpNews24 Online–  Pune Crime |It is generally seen that robbers enter a house to steal some goods. However, a shocking incident has been reported wherein a mobile tower, diesel generator battery bank and other equipment worth more than Rs 27 lakh have been stolen.

Devendra Kumbhalkar (41), a resident of Wadgaon Sheri, has filed a complaint at the Chatuhshrungi police station. The incident had taken place in January 2021.

According to the police, Kumbhalkar is working as a manager in GTL company. The company had set up mobile towers at survey number 121 house and plot number 2 in Pashan. There was an encroachment and the mobile tower, diesel generator battery bank and other equipment worth Rs 20 lakh 19 thousand 759 rupees was stolen. The incident took place in April 2021.

Similarly, a mobile tower, generator battery back up and other equipment worth more than Rs 6 lakh 28 thousand 910 was stolen from Kusalkar Niwas in Model Colony. The incident had happened in January 2021. The company has not given any information to the police about when the tower was stolen and when it stopped working.

The company had filed a plea in the court and an FIR has been registered as per the court’s order.
