Man held for killing wife over suspicion of her character in Pune

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | An incident has come to light wherein, a man throttled his wife over the suspicion of her character and threw her body near Katraj Bypass after wrapping it in a saree. (Pune Crime)

The Loni Kalbhor police have arrested the man, Rahul Dnyanoba Fadtare (32), a resident of Mantarwadi. The deceased has been identified as Vidya Rahul Fadtare.

Vidya’s father Dattatraya Krishna Shedge (50), a resident of Paricheta, Purandar taluka has filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police.

According to the police, Rahul Fadtare was working as a driver. He and Vidya got married seven years ago. Rahul used to suspect Vidya’s character and there were frequent quarrels between them. The Hadapsar police had found a woman’s body wrapped in a saree on an open plot in Mantarwadi near the Katraj Bypass.

The police after making investigations had come to know that the body was of Vidya Fadtare.

After Rahul was grilled by police officials, he admitted killing Vidya over the suspicion of her character and dumping her body near Katraj Bypass. The Loni Kalbhor police have arrested Rahul Fadtare after registering a case. API Digambar Bidve is probing the case.
