Pune Crime | Man arrested from Latur for kidnapping child and locking up mistress in lodge

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | A man who had locked up his mistress in the bathroom of a lodge in Pune and had kidnapped her 18-month-old child, was arrested in Latur by the Sahakar Nagar police and the child was freed from his clutches. (Pune Crime)

 

The man has been identified as Sunil Sopan Pandhre (26), a resident of Pandhrewadi, Gangakhed taluka, Parbhani district. A 27-year-old woman has filed a complaint at the Sahakar Nagar police station. According to the police, Pandhre and the woman got acquainted as they were working in the same company. They were staying in a lodge on Pune-Satara Road from April 1 to 3. They had visited the Dagdusheth Ganesh temple, Katraj zoo and Swaminarayan temple and used to come to the lodge in the night.

 

An 18-month-old child of the accused was also with them. They had a quarrel on Tuesday. Pandhre locked up the woman in the bathroom of the lodge and decamped with the child. When the woman shouted for help, the manager of the lodge rescued her. She immediately went to the Sahakar Nagar police station to lodge a complaint.

 

Under the guidance of Senior PI Swati Desai, API Sameer Shende collected more information from the complainant and carried out a technical probe. He came to know that Pandhre was at his native place and was at Ahmedpur in Latur district at present. API Chhabu Berad, policemen Bhujang Ingle and Mahesh Mandlik rushed to Ahmedpur. They apprehended Pandhre from a lodge and rescued the child.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including API Sameer Shende, constable Bapu Khutwad, policemen Bhujang Ingle, Mahesh Mandlik, Mahadev Nale, Sushant Farande, Sagar Sutkar, Sagar Shinde, Pradeep Bediskar and Mangesh Borade under the guidance of Senior PI Swati Desai and PI Yunusar Mulani.
