Interstate gang of robbers arrested by Market Yard police

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | The police had gone to a society to apprehend some people who were trying to break into some houses. The accused had thrown stones, bricks on the policemen and the society’s watchman and attacked the policemen with a sickle. This incident had happened at a society in the Market Yard area. An FIR had been registered against the accused in the Market Yard police station. The Market Yard police had arrested the three accused in a well-planned operation. The action was taken at Janata Vasahat in Parvati.

 

The accused have been identified as Navalsingh Ajam Alava (40), Bhaya Bhangu Devka (32) and Vinod Ramesh Sisodia (19), all residents of Narwali, Kukshi taluka, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh. The police had gone to a society in Market Yard when the accused were trying to commit a burglary. The accused had thrown stones, bricks and sickle and disappeared into the darkness. It was found later that the accused had gone to Janta Vasahat.

 

The police were keeping a day and night vigil to arrest the accused. The accused were spotted at a canal in Janta Vasahat. The police chased them and took them into custody. The police seized an iron cutter, screwdriver and other equipment and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 30,000 from them.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including API Madan Kamble, policemen Hirwale, Kiran Jadhav, Mahesh Jadhav, Ashish Yadav, Swapnil Kadam, Sandip Suryavanshi, Lonkar, Gaikwad, Sheikh and Ghule under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Jt CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Namdev Chavan, DCP Namrata Patil, ACP Rajendra Galande, Senior PI Anagha Deshpande and PI Savita Dhamdhere.
