Former Shiv Sena MP Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil threatened, FIR lodged against 17 people
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | Former MP Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil has joined the group led by CM Eknath Shinde and this has upset many Shiv Sainiks. Patil’s effigy was burnt and he was abused and they went to the former MP’s house in Landewadi and threatened to cut his arms and legs. A case has been filed against 17 people at Khed police station. An FIR has been filed against Ganesh Sandbhor, Ram Gawde, Mahendra Gholap, Amol Vitkar, Sachin Padval, Nilesh Waghmare, Kumar Tajne, Goraksh Sukhale, Suresh Chavan, Shankar Date, Navnath Kotwal, Kaka Kulkarni, Datta Bhambure, Tushar Sandbhor, Babanrao Daundkar, Chandrakant Bhor, Bajirao Buchade (all residents of Rajgurunagar, Khed).
All of them are activists of Shiv Sena and they had staged an agitation on the Pune-Nashik highway after Patil joined the Shinde-led group.
Ankush Kisan Shewale, the division head of Shiv Sena’s Ambegaon taluka, has lodged a complaint at the Khed police station. After Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil joined the Shinde-led group, his photo was stuck on a donkey and a garland of footwear was put on it. A symbolic burning of the photo was carried out and the activists went to Patil’s house in Landewadi and threatened to cut his arms and legs.
Police constable Santosh Gholap is investigating the case.
