FIR filed against 6 persons for indulging in gambling at Area 37 Club on Bibvewadi-Kondhwa Road

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | The Social Security Department of the Pune police Crime Branch raided the gambling den in Area 37 Club located on Bibvewadi-Kondhwa Road and seized goods worth Rs 2.5 lakh and filed an FIR against six persons. Ramanlal Sogmalji Porwal, a resident of Market Yard, Pune, Subhash Deepchand Tekwani, a resident of Bhavani Peth, Pune, Kishore Mithalal Jain, a resident of Gangadham Chowk, Pune and Rakesh Arun Kondhe were found indulging in three card gambling. The Kondhwa police have charged hotel supervisor Sunil Hemraj Mundada, a resident of Ravivar Peth, Yatin Dinesh Shah, a resident of Shukrawar Peth, Pune under sections 4(a) and 5 of the Maharashtra Gambling Prevention Act.

 

The police came to know that three card gambling is going on at Area 37 Club at Lulla Nagar on Bibvewadi-Kondhwa Road. The police seized gambling equipment worth Rs 87,000, plastic coins, mobiles worth Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand 440 and cash of Rs 23 thousand 440 totally worth Rs 2 lakh 46 thousand 880.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including Senior PI Rajesh Puranik, PSI Shridhar Khadke, PSI Supriya Pandharkar and policemen from the social security department under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale and DCP Srinivas Ghadge.
