Dog bites woman in lift; FIR filed against dog owner at Hadapsar police station

The tendency to own an aggressive breed of dog is increasing and it increases the threat posed to other people. However, the owners of the dogs are not bothered about the threat. At present, there are many arguments in different societies over pet dogs. A pet dog which was being taken in a lift in a society on Magarpatta Road, bit a woman and injured her. (Pune Crime)

 

A 44-year-old woman staying in a society in Hadapsar has lodged a complaint with the Hadapsar police station. Accordingly, the police have filed an FIR against dog’s owner Manisha Singh. The incident had taken place on July 20 at 7 pm in the lift of the society.

 

According to the police, the accused Manisha Singh has a pet dog. The dog has bitten many people in the society. Many members of the society told her that she should take precautions so that the dog will not bite anybody. However, Singh ignored the instructions. The complainant was coming down by the lift. At the same time, Singh’s daughter was also in the lift along with the dog. She did not take any precautions so that the dog would not bite anyone in the small space. The dog charged at the woman and bit her right hand. The complainant took medical treatment and now has lodged a complaint with the police.

 

Police constable Patil is investigating the case.
