Death of 4 workers in Loni Kalbhor: Case filed against house owner
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | The Loni Kalbhor police have filed a case against the owner of the house in Kadam Vasti, where four workers who were cleaning a septic tank, died of suffocation after falling into it. Three of them were workers while one of them was a citizen who had rushed to help them.
Bhimaji Jaysinh Kalbhor, a resident of Sidram Mala, Loni Kalbhor has been identified as the house owner. In this incident, Padmakar Maruti Waghmare (43), a resident of Pathare Vasti, Rupchand Navnath Kamble (45), a resident of Kadam Vasti, Krishna Datta Jadhav (26), a resident of Deshmukh Vasti, Degaon, Uttar Solapur taluka, Solapur, Sikandar alias Dada Popa Kasbe (45), a resident of Kadam Vasti are the deceased. The incident had taken place in the Jai Malhar Krupa building’s septic tank on Wednesday at 10.30 am. The building is owned by Rajendra Jaysinh Kalbhor.
Rajnandini Padmakar Waghmare (26), a resident of Kadam vasti has lodged a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station. Rupesh Kamble and Sikandar Kasbe had undertaken the work of cleaning the septic tank. During the cleaning, Krishna Jadhav lost his balance and fell into the tank.
Dada Kasbe, who went to save him, also fell into the tank. Rupesh Kamble jumped into the tank after noticing that the two had fallen into the tank. However, since he did not come out for a long time, a neighbour, Padmakar Waghmare, went near the tank but he lost his balance and fell into the tank. Since there was a lot of filth and gas in the tank, all of them died.
The owner of the building forced the workers to clean the tank without providing any security apparatus and oxygen cylinders. He should have asked workers who are experts in doing the work, to clean the tank but he told the workers to do the work. He forced the complainant’s husband to enter the tank without any reason. A case has been filed against him for being responsible for the death of three persons.
