Criminal held for stealing two-wheelers and aluminium straps
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A notorious criminal has been arrested for stealing two-wheelers from different areas and aluminium straps kept outside the shops. He was arrested in a lane opposite Vega Centre near Swargate by laying a trap. The police have seized two-wheelers and aluminium straps worth Rs 2 lakh from him and brought to light five crimes.
The accused has been identified as Jaid alias Langda Jamir Dalal (20), a resident of 329, Ghorpade Peth, Alhad Society, fourth floor, opposite Mominpura graveyard, Pune. He is a notorious criminal and many cases are pending against him in various police stations.
Senior police inspector Srihari Bahirat had given instructions that the police should keep a close watch on the activities of criminals having police records. Policemen Ravi Lokhande and Sagar Ghadge came to know that Langda Jamir Dalal had stolen aluminium straps kept outside Excellent Enterprises located in the Mecca Tower Society and several Activa scooters from various places and he is in a lane opposite Vega Centre in Swargate.
The police seized five Activa scooters and 22 aluminium straps which were hidden near the Dhobi Ghat canal and he had used a scooter to steal the aluminium straps.
Two Activas had been seized from Khadak police station limits, one from Hadapsar police station limits and one from Kondhwa police station limits. Goods worth Rs 2 lakh 20 thousand have been seized from the accused.
Langda Dalal is a notorious criminal and various cases of attempt to murder, ransom, planning a robbery, serious crimes are registered against him at Khadak, Bharati Vidyapeeth police station, Market Yard police stations.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including senior police inspector Shrihari Bahirat, police inspector Harshvardhan Gade, PSI Rahul Khandale, policemen Aziz Bang, Sandip Patil, Ravi Lokhande, Sagar Ghadge, Rahul More, Vishal Jadhav, Himmat Holkar, Kalyan Borade, Nitin Jadhav, Pravin Gavhane, Samir Shaikh, Kiran Shitole and Mahesh Pawar under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Additional CP Rajendra Dahale, DCP Dr Priyanka Narnavre and ACP Satish Govekar.
