Chandan Nagar police arrest molestation case accused from Shegaon

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | The Chandan Nagar police have arrested a man who had molested a woman and was absconding, from Shegaon. The accused has been identified as Abdul Wahid Shaikh, a resident of Maliwadi, Pachpirwadi, Ahmednagar district. A case has been filed against the accused under sections 354 (A), 500, 506 of IPC and IT Act at the Chandan Nagar police station. (Pune Crime)

A team from the Chandan Nagar police station had gone to the accused’s residence in Ahmednagar on Sunday but he was not found. The police carried out a technical investigation and arrested him from Shegaon on Monday. PI Sunil Thopte is carrying out further investigation.

The action was taken by a team of police officials including PSI Dilip Pavle, policemen Namdev Gaddare, Subhash Avhad, Avinash Sankpal, Tushar Bhivarkar, Mahesh Nanekar, Shrikant Shede, Atul Jadhav, Rahul Ingle, Amit Kamble, Ganesh Handgar and Vikrant Saswadkar under the guidance of Senior PI Sunil Jadhav of Chandan Nagar police station and PI Sunil Thopte.
