Businessman cheated of Rs 10 lakh

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime |  An incident has come to light wherein a businessman from Khadki Bazar was cheated of Rs 10 lakh on the pretext of being provided with 24 karat pure gold. (Pune Crime)

 

Sriphal Nihalchand Shah (46), a resident of Khadki Bazar has filed a complaint at the Khadki police station. A case has been registered against Avi Sanjay Jain, a resident of Kamal Kunj, Chivda Gali, Lalbaug, Mumbai). The incident took place between December 28, 2021 to February 19, 2022.

 

According to the police, Sriphal Shah has a jewellery shop in Khadki Bazar. He ordered 100 gm pure gold on the SP gold app of the accused on December 28. The rate per tola was Rs 47 thousand 990 rupees and the price was Rs 4 lakh 79 thousand 900. On the next day, he ordered another 100 gm gold for Rs 47,680 per tola. He deposited Rs 9 lakh 86 thousand 396 rupees on December 31 in the SP gold’s bank account.

 

The accused did not provide 200 gm gold and did not return the money and a case of cheating has been filed. API Kadam is investigating the case.
