Pune crime | Black marketing of gas cylinders; police arrest accused
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune crime | An accused who was stealing gas from a completely filled cylinder was arrested by a team of unit two of crime branch after a raid. The accused has been identified as Tushar Dnyandev Chandgude. An FIR has been registered against the accused under section 285 of the IPC and the Essential Commodities Act at the Faraskhana police station.
Officials of unit two of the crime branch and policemen were searching for the accused who stole gas from the cylinders and indulged in black marketing.
The team arrested Tushar Chandgude (27), a resident of Baramati taluka. When his tempo was checked, out of 15 cylinders, four completely filled cylinders and 11 empty cylinders of 19 litres of Bharat Gas were found. The police seized four steel pipes used for removing the gas from the cylinder worth Rs 37,500 and tempo worth Rs 2 lakh totally worth Rs 2 lakh 37 thousand 500.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including PI Krantikumar Patil, PSI Rajendra Patole, policemen Kishore Vaggu, Chetan Gore, Gajanan Sonune, Mitesh Chormole and policewoman Sadhna Tamhane under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Srinivas Ghadge and ACP Gajanan Tompe.
