Pune Crime | Around 70 PFI workers booked for unlawful assembly in Pune

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime | An agitation was staged on Friday in front of the District Collectorate to protest against the raids conducted at Popular Front of India (PFI) offices across the country by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the State Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). The agitators were booked for unlawful assembly by the Bund Garden police. (Pune Crime)

 

Riazjainuddin Sayyad (26), a resident of Kondhwa, and 60-70 others were booked.

 

The NIA, ED and ATS raided PFI offices at 93 locations in 15 states and arrested 106 people on Thursday. This is the biggest action taken by the NIA till date.

 

Around 70 workers gathered at Bolhai Chowk in front of the District Collectorate on Friday and blocked the road. They also tried to block traffic by raising slogans and using abusive language. They ignored instructions given by senior police officers. Hence, a case has been registered against them. PSI Jadhav is investigating the matter.
