28 arrested in a raid at illegal gambling den in Narhe area
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | The police raided a gambling den in Narhe area and arrested 28 people. They also confiscated Rs 59,650 cash. Policeman Kisan Chavan lodged a complaint in this regard. (Pune Crime)
An offence has been registered against Sagar Kadu, Praveen Chaudhary, Anup Chavan and Sanket Shilimkar for supporting the gambling den.
DCP (Zone 3) Purnima Gaikwad received a tip-off that a gambling den was being run at the parking lot of Varad Resto Bar at Shri Control Chowk in Narhe. The raid was conducted on Sunday evening and 28 gamblers were arrested while Rs 59,650 cash and the gambling set-up was seized.
The joint action was taken under the guidance of DCP Purnima Gaikwad and PI Parmod Waghmare. API Chetan Thorbole, PSI Kuldeep Sankapal, PSI Nitin Jadhav and police personnel took part in it. The Sinhagad road police are investigating the matter.
