15 booked for demanding Rs 10 lakh ransom from Goel Ganga proprietor

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | A person identified as Sanjay Gulab Ghule and 14 others have been booked for using Goel Ganga builder’s land for celebrating festival and building a temple, for which donations have been collected. When the builder sought explanation on the issue, Rs 10 lakh ransom was demanded by the accused. (Pune Crime)

 

An offence has been registered against Ghule and 14 others at the Kondhwa police station in this regard. Anuj Umesh Goyal (39), a resident of Bund Garden, lodged a complaint on behalf of Goel Ganga builders. The accused have been identified as Sanjay Gulab Ghule, a resident of Mohmmadwadi, Pushpa Mandire, Razia Sheikh, Anita Salvi, Chetan Bhondwe, and Usha Kamdhenu. Nine more accused have also been booked.

 

The incident took place between February 24 and April 6, 2022 in Mohammadwadi.

 

According to the police, Anuj Goyal is a realtor. Sanjay Ghule has sold his land at Mohammadwadi to the complainant’s company, Shri Balaji Realty. Construction is being done on the land. Ghule and his family has got the full compensation for the land.

 

However, Ghule and others celebrate festivals on the land and have built a temple there. They also collect donations from time to time in the name of the temple. They do not use the collected money for social causes but for their individual needs. They demanded Rs 10 lakh ransom from the complainant. When the complainant refused to pay it, they visited the construction site and threatened security guards and the developer. They also abused them.
