Pune : Covid cases on the rise after Diwali

Pune : After Diwali, the number of corona victims in the city has started increasing. About 14 percent of those tested on Wednesday tested positive. During the day, 2 thousand 743 people were tested for corona. Of these, 384 were positive.

From the beginning of October to the first fortnight of November, about one and a half to two hundred corona patients were found daily in the city. But, it has been on the rise for the last two days. The city’s corona positive rate, which fell below 10 per cent, is now around 13 per cent.

According to the Pune Municipal Corporation’s health department, 392 critically ill patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the city. Of these, 260 are on ventilators, while the number of patients on oxygen support who had come under 1000 has gone beyond 1000. At present, 1001 patients are undergoing treatment with oxygen. Seven people died on Wednesday, one of them from outside Pune.

So far 7 lakh 73 thousand 879 people have been tested for corona in Pune city. Out of these 1 lakh 65 thousand 426 people tested positive. In Pune, 1 lakh 56 thousand 639 people were given discharge, while 4 thousand 401 people have died so far.
