Pune: Brother duo attack policeman stopping them for not wearing masks

Pune: A police constable was abused, attacked and manhandled by two brothers and one woman after they were stopped by the cop for not wearing masks while travelling in their car. The incident took place at Pushpamangal Chowk near City Pride Multiplex on C D Deshmukh road, popularly known as Satara Road at around 11am on Sunday (December 6).

The police constable Rahul Gosavi filed a FIR against the trio. The arrested suspects have been identified as Vinayak Sarjerao Pol (32), a resident of Kirkatwadi and Narendra Sarjerao Pol (32) residing at Ambegaon Pathar).

According to police, Rahul Gosavi was regulating traffic at Pushpamangal Chowk on Satara Road on Sunday morning. At that time, Gosavi stopped Vinayak, who was driving his car at high speed. Three people sitting inside the car were not wearing masks at the time.

When enquired about it, a woman in a car with the two brothers pushed Rahul and hurled abuses. Sahakarnagar police have arrested both the brothers in this case.
