Pune : ‘Bomb like material found near Air Force School, Viman Nagar

NPNEWS NETWORK – The Air Force and Pune police officials went in tizzy after it was reported that a bomb like material was found near the Air Force school, Viman Nagar, on Tuesday morning. There were no students due to summer holidays.

Officials from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) diffused the material and have sent samples to forensic laboratory, to ascertain its exact composition. Though it looked like hand-grenade, officials said that preliminary investigation has pointed towards it being Diwali cracker.

Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, areas around the school are being searched. The school is located on the Air Force Station campus.
