Pune: Body of Missing Female Constable Recovered from Indrayani River After Four-Day Search

Pune: After the intensive four-day rescue operation, finally, the police have recovered the dead body of the deceased female constable who ended her life by jumping into the Indrayani River. The dead body of the female police officer was spotted on Wednesday, August 28, at the riverbed in Golegaon.

The deceased female police constable has been identified as Anushka Suhas Kedar (age 20), a resident of Laxminarayan Nagar, Dighi. As per the police information, Anushka Kedar committed suicide by jumping into the Indrayani River from the Garud poll of the new bridge on Sunday, August 25, around 5.15 p.m.

Anushka Kedar was employed in the Pune Rural Police Force, and she was currently appointed at Pune Rural Headquarters. Police informed that before committing suicide, Anushka called one of his friends in Dehu Phata, Alandi, in which she told her friend about her suicidal plan.

After her suicide, the entire team of Alandi police, Alandi fire brigade team, and NDRF squad started a search operation in the Indrayani River. Finally, they successfully found the dead body of Anushka Kedar on Wednesday from the riverbed near Golegaon.
