Pune: Anti-Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad Unearthed Seven Vehicle Theft Cases from Pune; Minor Accused was Mastermind

Pune: The Pune Anti-Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad has succeeded in uncovering seven vehicle theft cases from a minor boy in Pune. In this case, police detained the minor accused and seized a total of seven vehicles from him.
Among the seized vehicles, there are 1 four-wheeler car, 3 autorickshaws, and 3 two-wheelers. Seeing the modus operandi of the minor accused, the police were also surprised.
The Anti-Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad was doing a parallel investigation in the vehicle theft cases of Vishrambaug Police Station. At that time, police constables Saikumar Karke and Dhananjay Tajane received a tip-off that the minor accused had stood in the Shaniwar Peth area along with the stolen rickshaw. Accordingly, Assistant Police Inspector Praveen Kalukhe and his team detained the minor accused from the spot.
When police called his parents and relatives into the police station, they learnt that the accused had stolen a total of seven vehicles from Warje, Vishrambaug, Alankar, Rajgad, and Paud police station limits. Accordingly, police seized all the stolen vehicles and goods worth Rs 2.5 lakh from him.
Police handed over the custody of the minor accused to his parents and asked them to be present at the police stations where complaints have been registered against the accused.
This action was taken on instructions of Police Inspector Nandkumar Bidwai of Anti-Robbery and Theft Squad, Assistant Police Inspector Praveen Kalukhe, Police Constable Ganesh Dhage, Balu Gaikwad, Dhananjay Tajane, Police Ammaldar Ravindra Lokhande, Mahesh Patil, Saikumar Karke, Women Police Constable Ware, and Police Ammaldar Bankar under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ganesh Ingle.
