Pune: The Maha Yuti has not held its meeting for the State Assembly elections yet. It will take place soon. Everyone knows whether DyCM Ajit Pawar has done injustice. There has been no discussion over seat-sharing, said BJP leader and State Minister Harshavardhan Patil.

‘We will fight as the Maha Yuti from Indapur’

Patil said, “The seat-sharing will happen. We will see when a decision will be made. DyCM Devendra Fadnavis will decide on the Indapur seat, which has been made clear by DyCM Ajit Pawar. We will fight as the Maha Yuti. Moreover, we are analysing the Maha Yuti’s defeat in the Baramati Lok Sabha poll.”

‘Increase MSP of sugar and ethanol rates’

Minister Patil revealed that he has put forth a demand before Union Minister Amit Shah to raise the MSP of sugar to Rs 4,000. “We also demanded an increase in the rate of ethanol during a discussion with Shah. There is 30 lakh metric tonne surplus sugar in the country. Therefore, permission should be given to export it,” he said.

Help sought for 15 sugar mills in the State

Patil said that help has been sought for 15 sugar mills in the State. The mill tax structure needs to be revamped. “We have prepared a roadmap for the sugar industry for the next 10 years. Any policy implementation should be given 10 years’ time. The current sugar policy is causing losses,” said Patil.

Rs 35 per litre for milk demanded

He said, “I met with Milk Development Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil. We have submitted a proposal to give Rs 35 per litre MSP for milk. We hope that it will be passed in the current Assembly session. A permanent subsidy of Rs 5 per litre should be given for milk and Rs 50 per tonne subsidy should be given for milk powder. Vikhe Patil has called a meeting to discuss these issues on May 29. All these demands should be fulfilled.”
