Pune: Accused arrested in SRPF recruitment scam

NPnews24 Online Pune: Officials from Crime Branch unit 5 of Pune city police have arrested a 23-year-old college student who was wanted in connection with State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) recruitment scam, for the last one.

The arrested accused has been identified as Tejas Rajendra Nemade, a native of Akola district, who resided here in Sinhgad road area. He was arrested from Amravati.

In the recruitment process of the SRPF, the job of verification of the answer sheets of written examination was given to a private institution. Some employees of this company and two SRPF men connived to make changes in the answer sheets. Some candidates were given extra marks.

An FIR was registered in the Wanwadi police station after the matter was reported. Some people were arrested.

Investigation team included Senior police inspector Dutta Chavan, assistant inspector Bhalchandra Dhawale, sub-inspector Shendge, Laxman Shinde, Santosh Mohite, Sameer Shaikh and others.
