Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Accident News | A container hit a two-wheeler in Loni Kalbhor area and two school girls were killed on the spot. The gruesome mishap took place at Loni Station Chowk on Saturday at 7 am. (Pune Accident News)
The deceased have been identified as Gayatri Nandkumar Shitole (17) and Rajashree Nandkumar Shitole (10), both residents of Kavdipath, Kadamwak Vasti, Haveli taluka and both were sisters. They died on the spot as the wheel of the container went over them.
According to the available information, Gayatri was studying in std XI and Rajashree was in std VI. Both were studying in Prithviraj Kapoor Memorial High School and Junior College located at Loni Kalbhor. They were travelling on their uncle’s two-wheeler at 7 am on Saturday and the container rammed into the two-wheeler. Their uncle, Pandurang Navnath Bhikshe (42), fell on one side of the road and the two sisters fell on another side. Since the wheel of the container went over them, they died on the spot. The driver of the container ran away and the Loni Kalbhor police are investigating the case.
