Pune Accident: NCP MLA Dilip Mohite Patil’s Nephew Involved in Fatal Collision

Pune: A shocking incident has come to light from the Manchar area of Pune, where Mayur Mohite, nephew of NCP MLA Dilip Mohite Patil, collided with a two-wheeler while driving on the wrong side of the road on the Pune-Nashik highway. The tragic accident resulted in the death of a young man and left another seriously injured.

The incident occurred at around 9:30 PM on Saturday night. Mayur Mohite was driving a Fortuner at high speed towards Manchar and attempted to overtake a pickup truck. During this maneuver, he hit a two-wheeler rider identified as Om alias Bunty Sunil Bhalerao, 20, who was heading home to Kalamb village near the Kalamb river bridge.

Local residents, including Shubham Bhalerao, Sachin Viaal, and Shailesh Bhalerao, immediately rushed to assist Om Bhalerao, who had sustained serious head injuries. The locals quickly transported him to the hospital in an ambulance, but unfortunately, he was declared dead on arrival by doctors at the Manchar rural hospital.

Om Bhalerao is survived by his parents and one sister. He was the only son of the Bhalerao family. The driver, Mayur Mohite, was apprehended by Shubham Bhalerao, Shailesh Bhalerao, and Sachin Viaal and the incident was reported to the Manchar police station.

Officials from the Manchar police station are conducting a thorough investigation. The residents of Kalamb village gathered in large numbers at the rural hospital and the police station, demanding that a serious crime be registered against those responsible for the young man’s death.
