Pune ACB Trap | Clerk at Deputy Superintendent Land Records Office held for accepting bribe of Rs 20,000
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune ACB Trap | A clerk, Rajaram Dattatreya Shinde (54), working in the Deputy Superintendent Land Records Office Indapur has been arrested red handed by ACB Pune officials for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 to finalise the area of the measured land. An FIR has been filed against Rajaram Shinde at the Indapur police station under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The Pune ACB carried out this action on Tuesday.
A 41-year-old complainant had filed a complaint at the ACB Pune. Officials of ACB Pune verified the complaint on June 10 and laid the trap on Tuesday and took action.
The complainant’s uncle owns land in Nimbodi area of Indapur. A measurement of the land was taken two months ago. Shinde sought a bribe of Rs 25,000 to finalise the measurement of the land. After discussions, it was agreed that Shinde will be paid Rs 20,000. The complainant lodged a complaint with the ACB.
The complaint was verified on June 10. Clerk Rajaram Shinde sought a bribe of Rs 25,000 and agreed to accept Rs 20,000. Hence, on Tuesday, a trap was laid at the Deputy Superintendent Land Records Office. Shinde was caught red handed accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
The action was taken by a team of ACB Pune office under the guidance of ACB Pune SP Rajesh Bansode and Addl SP Suraj Gurav. Further investigation is being carried out by PI Sandeep Varhade.
