Pune: A College Going Girl Was Brutally Raped by Four Including Two Minors in Pune
Pune : Due to increasing incidents of sexual assaults on minors and school- and college-going girls, police are conducting ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ programs in various schools and colleges to raise awareness among them. In one such program, a shocking incident has come to light that the minor girl was sexually assaulted by four people.
In this regard, the Koregaon Park Police have registered a case against four under the POCSO Act. The police informed that two people, Om Adesh Gholap (age 20) and Swapnil Vikas Devkar, have been arrested, whereas the other two minor boys have also been detained.
In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Smartana Patil, said that the women police officers of Koregaon Park Police Station had gone to a program related to ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ in a college. At that time, a young girl went to the female counsellor and told her that one of her friends was always under stress. Further, the girl also spoke that she feared that something bad had happened to her.
After this, the counsellor informed the trustees of the colleges about the incident. The trustee then immediately contacted the Koregaon Park Police on the night of September 24 and gave them the information about it. After that, the police called the concerned girl along with her parents in the police station and enquired her.
While speaking with the police, the victim girl informed that she was contacted by four boys through Instagram. After that, she had come into physical relations with them at different times. After that, a case was registered against those people under the POCSO Act.
Police informed that one of the accused is pursuing college education and others are from other colleges. Shockingly, two individuals in this case are minors and both have been arrested by police. It has not yet confirmed that whether these people are in contact with each other. Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil said that this incident took place between April and September this year.
